Louise Scott
Louise Scott (1936–2007) was a talented painter, printmaker, illustrator, and educator, known for her expressive use of color and light. Born in New York City to Canadian parents, she moved to Canada at the age of two, growing up in Ottawa and Lockeport, Nova Scotia. Scott studied at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts and later at the Salzburg School of Art in Austria under renowned artist Oskar Kokoschka. After her father's death, she dedicated herself to art full-time, teaching at Concordia University and exhibiting internationally. Her works, which include oils, pastels, and watercolors.
