Liam Reynolds

Represented Artist

Liam Reynolds (b. 2000, New Brunswick, Turtle Island / Canada) is a self-taught artist based in Ontario, whose practice serves as both a deeply personal exploration and a quietly radical act. Working across oil, pastel, ink, poetry, and sound, Reynolds creates contemplative works that emerge from intuitive, meditative sessions—spaces where emotion, consciousness, and the cosmic intersect.

His paintings are invitations into spiritual dialogue. Rooted in joy, beauty, and an openness to vulnerability, Reynolds' work speaks to both the inner world and the outer realities of our time. Themes of individuality and interconnectedness, trauma and healing, oppression and liberation move through his compositions. With a visual language that is poetic and evocative, he offers viewers not only aesthetic experience but emotional resonance and space for introspection.

“For me, art is a way of life—a way of seeing the world,” says Reynolds. “It doesn’t have to radically alter someone’s life, but it can sneak in under the radar, speak to you, and change something.”

Reynolds' work resists the rigid expectations often placed on artists. His approach is one of experimentation, conviction, and compassion. He speaks up for freedom in artmaking—making space for joy and intuition, while also acknowledging the darker and more contemplative edges of life. His goal is not perfection, but connection. “To love whoever is looking at my painting… love them through the medium.”

Since beginning his artistic career in 2020, Reynolds has made a significant impact in both creative and community spheres. He co-founded Exhibitionist Magazine to uplift local artists, and has curated numerous exhibitions, fostering space for dialogue and visibility. His work has been exhibited across Canada, from juried shows and festivals to solo exhibitions, and is held in private and public collections internationally.

Reynolds is represented by White Galleon Gallery. He is also the recipient of multiple awards, including 2nd Place at the 2025 Elora Plein Air Festival, and is an upcoming resident at Nocefresca Artist Residency in Sardinia, Italy.

Whether responding to the world’s injustices or simply celebrating its beauty, Reynolds is guided by an unwavering belief: that art has the power to heal, to provoke, and to unite. “It only takes a few well-placed wedges to crack a great stone.”
